Watch out Waitrose! Estate agency reveals ‘magical’ Xmas advert
Estate agency Hat and Home has released its festive video offering featuring music from chart topper Birdy.
Hat and Home is well known for doing its marketing differently and the estate agency has done just that this Xmas after releasing a ‘magical’ festive video featuring music from chart-topping singer Birdy.
The video, which has the strapline ‘Xmasmakes a house a home’ is the story of a mother, son and grandmother and how they all come together under one ‘happy’ roof after it seemed like they would be spending Christmas alone.

It was produced as part of a collaboration between Hat and Home and brand agency @inc and is the second year running that they have commissioned one, with an animated version debuting in 2023.
The xmas video has already garnered some very positive reviews.
Mike O’Connor, Director at Entrepreneurs Hub Limited, said: “Truly magical. The challenge will be to surpass this offering next year. I can hear the conversations now – ‘when is the 2025 Hat & Home Christmas video going to be released?’ John Lewis look out!”

Hat and Home founder Ben Gee tells The Neg that when he commissioned the video, he wanted something that centred around the importance of the home rather than just a straightforward brand promotion.
He explained: “Home is a place of safety and comfort, it’s a place where memories are made, families are grown, and friends laugh.
“It doesn’t matter whether you have a studio flat or a mansion… wherever you lay your hat, that’s your home. That’s special.”
