Howzat! Young estate agent takes to cricket’s world stage
Sophia Turner, who is employed by her family's firm in Lancashire, is taking a break from work to play in the international The Hundred competition.
An estate agent working as a listings manager for a firm in Lancashire has joined the cricket world stage.
21-year-old Sophia Turner, who works at four-branch estate agency Pendle Hill Properties at the firm’s head office in the Lancashire town of Read, also plays Northern Diamonds, a team representing the North East and Yorkshire.
Described as having a cricketing career going from ‘strength to strength, Turner is soon to play The Hundred, a 100-ball competition featuring world class players.

It’s a mini-league for the world’s cricket teams which sees eight UK city-based teams created especially for the annual event compete over 100 balls during five weeks during July and August. Both male and female teams compete.
Each squad comprises 15 players with a maximum of four overseas stars allowed.
During the competition Turner will play for the Northern Superchargers team which is based in Leeds and her first match will be against the Trent Rockets Women on 26th July at Headingly.
When she’s not playing cricket Turner works for her family’s estate agency as a lister working to ensure properties for sale are accurate and look good.

The firm says her job is unusual, adding that: “This role isn’t one that’s employed by most estate agents, and does give Pendle Hill Properties that professional edge when listing properties, alongside professional photography and excellent marketing”.
Her father Andrew is the MD of the company with brother Thomas the sales director.
