Agency sells £2.3m property on the back of a virtual viewing
A year after the launch of NicheCom's virtual viewing tool, an estate agency reports it sold a property worth £2.3m following a 3D tour.
Estate agency firm, Curchods, has reported the sale of a £2.3 million property following a virtual viewing using NicheCom’s GotoView solution.
The news comes 12 months after the platform launched, which combines the 4K clarity of Matterport’s 3D showcases with video call functionality.
Lee Murphy, a Partner at Curchods, said: “We may not be the first to sell a property of the back of a 3D tour, but it might the most valuable at £2.3M. What makes it all the more remarkable, is the fact the buyer is hastily working through the legal process, having not yet set foot in the property.”
Curchods is not the only happy agent. Hundreds of high profile agencies are using the virtual viewing technology, which was developed to improve the time-consuming viewing process for agents, who were typically visiting a property around 20 times before receiving an offer.
Richard Sutton, a Director at Davis Tate, added: “So far this year, GotoView has saved us more than 600 first physical viewings. That’s 600 times we have been saved from going on a wasted journey! We recently also had a buyer was initially resistant to doing a hosted virtual viewing, however his feedback straight after was that he loved this way of doing the initial viewing and appreciated this excellent service, which no other agent was offering.”
GotoView has also been making a mark in lettings, helping agents overcome the typical pain points that arise when homes are re-let. No more waiting for outgoing tenants to permit access and trying to arrange mutually convenient times for viewings on evenings and weekends.
“We are now able to conduct viewings at any time of the day with people anywhere in the world,” says Samantha Newman, Assistant Branch Manager at Alan de Maid. This is now how we conduct all first viewings, with the convenience of being able to do this from our office and applicants from anywhere they like.”
Founder and Group Managing Director of NicheCom, Andy South, said: “I’m delighted that GotoView has been gaining traction and is fast becoming the normal way of carrying out first viewings for so many of our clients. We are proud to at the forefront of the latest innovation and to be able to add GotoView to our suite of award-winning property marketing services.”
