Material Information guidance was first introduced back in May 2022 with Part A, and subsequently followed with Part B and C in November 2023. It sits under the umbrella of Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 and aims to include key information which is material to the decision-making process of the average consumer.

Nathan Emerson, CEO of Propertymark, commented: “We have seen an encouraging response to the survey so far, however the more reaction we can gather the more powerful the data will be to potentially help steer progression and development. From the outset, the aim has been to generate real world feedback to help guide future development and implementation. The overall objective is to assist in growing a system so that it keeps pace with demand and delivers maximum benefit to all users.”
