Leadership changes revealed at Women in Estate Agency group

PR Kirsty Franks becomes Vice Chair while estate agent Shanice Gandhi joins its board.

A group that champions gender equality across the property industry has revealed changes to its leadership board.

The two changes for the Women in Estate Agency (WiEA) board include PR Kirsty Franks (main image, right), who becomes its Vice Chair, and Shanice Gandhi (left), estate agency Moss Properties’ commercial director, who joins the now 13-strong board.

The other existing members include many high-profile estate agents including Liana Laporto-Browne, WiEA founder Clare Hughes, trainer Claire Yates, Iain McKenzie, CEO of the Guild of Property Professionals and Verona Frankish, its Chair and who is also CEO of hybrid estate agency YOPA.

She says: “Kirsty’s energy, vision and ability to connect with people make her an exceptional choice as Vice Chair and I look forward to working closely with her in the months ahead.

New perspective

“Shanice’s impact in the commercial space and her understanding of leadership dynamics will bring a new perspective to the board and we welcome this fresh approach.

“Both embody what WiEA stands for – progress, collaboration and the courage to drive change. I am delighted that we have now filled all vacancies for the coming year and I couldn’t be happier with the range of skills, experience and diversity that we have on the Board, representing the WiEA community.”

The group has a busy 2025/6 ahead of its including a conference in March and a new Supporters Charter.It seeks to have professionals from across the estate agency landscape and who volunteer their time and expertise to help “shift the industry towards greater equality and opportunity for all”.
