Propertymark membership hits record high of 19,000
Organisation says lower fees and celebrity tie-up has helped, but agents seeking help with looming extra regulation also likely to be a factor.

Propertymark has achieved its highest membership level to doate and now has just under 19,000 estate agents signed up.
This is 1,000 more than it has previously revealed in recent years. In 2017 it had 17,500 members but this has been only edging up slowly since then but has now accelerated as many letting agents join as they realise the tsunami of new regulation facing them within the Renters’ Rights Bill.
The new membership figures, which Propertymark says are ‘higher than ever’, are also down to lower membership fees and increased benefits, as well as greater industry awareness about Propertymark including via its recent tie-up with TV star Phil Spencer, and several high-profile campaigns.
The new membership figures coincide with it annual changeover in presidential teams. Anyone can be nominated and submissions must be in by the end of this week.

“Being President is a very unique memory and I’m very privileged to have had the opportunity to have done it.”
