Amjed Rasul, owner of Belvoir Inverness, has acquired Orkney Leasing. The acquisition has added 200 properties to Amjed’s portfolio of managed properties and was partially funded through Belvoir’s innovative expansion policy, which partially funds acquisition opportunities for franchise owners.

“This was a unique opportunity, which is located in the commercial centre of Orkney in the town of Kirkwall,” says Amjed, who joined Belvoir after the launch of his Inverness office in 2007.

“Orkney is a place that is very dear to me, and I always dreamed that one day I would end up here, although I could never have predicted how it would happen!

“Orkney Leasing is a well-established business that was started 15 years ago by a local lady called Mhairi Noble. Mhairi has very high standards of practice and customer service, and was keen to find a buyer with a similar business ethos. The acquisition proved to be a very good fit, as Belvoir operates to similar high standards with a consistent focus on customer care.
