Zoopla has published the key facts for the property industry both serious and not-so-serious – useful for anyone organising an agency pub quiz.
Zoopla has provided some ideal fodder for any estate agencies’ Xmas pub quiz after it today revealed some of the industry’s key facts for 2024.
This includes the most viewed property on its portal, the most expensive home marketed this year, how long properties have taken to sell on average, which is the most popular property type and which place in the UK has the fastest moving market, and which keywords were top of home hunters ‘must have’ lists.

Most viewed property
A Disney-themed property in Wales which has been viewed 219,000 times, marketed by agency Elwy Estates.
Most expensive
Located on Grosvenor Crescent, this London home listed at £65 million in one of the country’s most prestigious addresses, the property features six en-suite bedrooms, a chef’s kitchen and spa.

Which months saw the most housing market interest?
January was the most popular month for visitors to the portal, followed by March and February.
May was the most popular month to list a home for sale, with summer the most popular time of year for house viewings and moves, while according to HMRC, August was the busiest month of the year for completions with 104,740 property transactions completed in the UK with a value of £40,000 or more.
