A conveyancing company is offering one lucky property industry professional what must be the sector’s cushiest new role.

No, it is not April 1st. Leicester-based My Home Move is looking for a ‘mansion tester’ who will be tasked with staying at one of the UK’s most stunning properties in return for feed back on its service.

The company tells The Neg that property industry experience will be an advantage during the interview process, but will ‘not be compulsory’.

It’s not a career move, though, and would probably suit an agent with some spare holiday to burn.

My Home Move will pay £500 to someone to spend a three weekdays between 21st and 23rd September at Grade II listed Somerset pile Manor Holcombe.

Pooled resources

The winner of the gig will be tasked with trying out the luxury getaway’s services including the swimming pools, pool table and private gym and, perhaps more importantly, give feedback on the

My Home Conveyancing online service. So, the job is a cross between a secret shopper and a user interface tester.

“After such a challenging year, we’d like to invite anyone who fancies a break in one of Britain’s most stunning properties to apply, and become our Mansion Tester,” says the company’s Chief Business Development Officer Dev Malle.

“We wanted to put our expertise to the test.”

Anyone up for a few days of light work in luxury surroundings must apply before lunchtime today via the company’s website. For those not lucky enough to be picked, it costs just over £1,600 a night to rent the manor.
