A double tragedy has hit an estate agency in the East of England after it was revealed that its co-founder has died just months after the other founding director succumbed to cancer.

It has been revealed that 40-year-old Adam Thompson, the estate agency business and life partner of Lucy Thompson (both main picture), has died just a few months after she passed away after a long battle with cancer aged 44 years old in June.

The two had run Reality Estate Agent in Norwich, a spokesperson posted on the firm’s Facebook page that “it is with great sadness that I have to announce the passing of my fellow director Adam, who tragically lost his battle with life, while grieving the recent death of his wife Lucy”.

Married

Lucy, who still features on the estate agency firm’s website homepage in a video, founded the firm in 2009 while he joined in 2016 and the pair married in July 2019 after she had been given the cancer all-clear following treatment.

As The Neg reported earlier this year, despite later announcing that her cancer had returned, Lucy gave up her role at the agency and focussed on raising funds for local good causes including a 24km charity run.

Tributes

Friends, former colleagues and family have taken to social media to remember Adam Thompson, saying: “I had the privilege of working with Adam in his previous career.

“A thoroughly nice guy. Such a tragic turn of events, but I hope Adam you have found peace and are reunited with your beloved wife.”

Another said: “Words cannot express the sadness of losing you both. You will always be in our hearts.”
