Arun Estates, formed of Cubitt & West, Douglas Allen, Pittis, and Wards, has donated £1 million to children’s charity, Barnardo’s to help support vulnerable children in its agencies’ local areas.

The South East agencies have always supported their local communities but with the cost-of-living crisis continuing to bite they took on the challenge to raise the ‘magic £1 million’.

DONATING

Since September they have been donating £100 for every property valuation they attend and completed number 10,000 in just three months.

The donation made on behalf of their customers has been given to Barnardo’s children’s charity.

aldo arunGroup managing director Aldo Sotgiu (pictured) says: “Donating such a huge amount with the help and support of our colleagues and customers is a great feeling, we just hope other people in more fortunate positions can do the same in the coming months.”

Emma Bowman, Barnardo’s regional director for the South East, adds: “We are so impressed with the commitment and dedication shown by [the] estate agents.

POVERTY

“We would like to extend a huge thank you to all colleagues involved because this was no mean feat and it really will make a difference to those who are being affected by the cost-of-living crisis which is driving more families into poverty.”

Working with Barnardo’s, Cubitt & West, Douglas Allen, Pittis, and Wards’ donation have already started helping vulnerable children in the local area in the Southeast, with food vouchers, clothing and supplying electrical appliances to those who are in need.
