A new service has launched to help estate agencies to take advantage of the growing phenomena of property ‘speed tours’ on Instagram.

This kind of video, which features an estate agent or drone walking inside and outside a property via a speeded-up and often set to dance music, has become popular with buyers looking for a snapshot of home for sale or rent.

The advantage for buyers and tenants is that in a few minutes they can understand a property’s layout and character without having to trawl through dozens of photos or watch lengthy video tours.

Phenomenon

Lea Valley-based Pink Plan, which has launched the ‘speed tour’ service for its estate agency clients, says the phenomenon is rapidly becoming the next generation of digital property marketing.

Speed tours are created using an innovative method of video editing, commonly known as ‘speed ramping’.

The videos showcase the whole property but are sped up to fit into short and snappy videos.

“Our newly launched offering can create under 1 minute videos that showcase homes and apartments in a way that hasn’t been done before.

“We’re excited to bring our product to market at a time when virtual property tours are in high demand by estate agents across the whole of the UK.”

More and more agents are turning to Instagram to market their properties to a young and smartphone savvy audience and one agency, Daniel Daggers Real Estate was created off the back of his successful account on the platform, which has 35,000+ followers.
