Fast-growing London estate agent launches commercial property arm
LiFE Residential says it has received increasing numbers of enquiries from investors about commercial properties as London's housing market struggles.
One of London’s emerging large estate agents LiFE Residential has launched a commercial property arm in addition to its existing residential sales and lettings teams.
The company, which recently moved to a larger head office on Hangar Lane in North London, also has 13 branches across London most of which are based in and serve large new-build or recently-built apartment blocks.
LiFE Commercial will help existing and new clients invest in and manage their commercial property investments.
This will include helping let out and manage properties including lease renewals, ratings, rent reviews and valuations.
“Over the last few months we’ve seen a growing number of requests for commercial requirements such as acquisitions, ground rents and building management,” says Joey Barnett, Senior Manager at LiFE Commercial (left).
“We decided to create a solution for our existing clients, using the knowledge and experience of our senior LiFE team so that we can now offer both residential and commercial services.”
The wider LiFE group of companies is now nearly two decades old after being established by two estate agents, Jonathan Werth and Jason Dienaar in 2000. Before setting up LiFE, Werth was MD of builder Galliard Residential for two years and before that worked as a lettings manager.
His company now has international offices in Hong Kong, Singapore and Cape Town to capture lettings and sales instructions from local landlords. It also has a 4,500-strong rental property portfolio and employs 170 staff.
Last year it launched a second arm to its business, a tech investment fund called LiFE Ventures, which scored an early success with Goodlord.
