‘New model’ estate agency eXp tops 300 agents mark
The UK arm of the American company continues to expand its network of self-employed agents who operate on a digital platform.

US-style estate agency eXp UK has now signed up more than 300 self-employed agents to its ‘new model’ business.
Less than three years after launching in this country, eXp has a network of representatives who trade under their own name.
The company is the third fastest estate agency to reach the top 20 in the UK from the point of first instruction, according to recent data from TwentyCi. It was ranked as the 18th largest estate agency in the UK earlier this year for the number of new instructions and sales agreed.
After launching in November 2019, eXp signed up an initial number of 50 agents, before increasing to 200 in June last year, and 270 in February.
High calibre
Adam Day (pictured right), International Expansion Leader for eXp UK, says: “It’s an incredible achievement to have experienced so much growth within such a short period.
“This is clear proof of how effective the agent-centric value proposition is, and reflects our commitment to ensure our agents have all the right tools they need to reach success.
“More than anything, our success is down to the high calibre of agents we are bringing on board, all of whom must have a minimum of two years’ experience,” he adds.
Day founded Hatched, which was bought by Connells in 2015 but later closed down, and before joining eXp worked for both for the former incarnation of eMoov and easyProperty.
His firm’s model has also attracted several high-profile Purplebricks defectors including Clare Hughes, who used to be a Purplebricks Territory Owner.
