New property maintenance quote service signs up first agents
Jehan Rajendra of Fix My Build claims to be different to other platforms that help agents manage quotations for repairs and maintenance work.
A service has launched that helps agents, landlords and home owners find reliable tradespeople and offers a quote vetting service.
London-based Fix My Build tells The Neg it will be different from its competitors because all builders and tradespeople on its platform have indemnity insurance and because it also matches suppliers with projects based on their previous experience and customer recommendations.
Fix My Build also helps its customers to assess and choose quotations and, once they are approved, track the work and make stage payments via its platform when dealing with larger projects, its suppliers covering everything from minor repairs to whole property renovations.
Founder Jehan Rajendra (main image, inset) says: “We have already received requests from landlords and are helping them to find insured professionals for their renovation projects.
“We have also been contacted by estate agents and conveyancers as well, who have told us they want to sign up their companies and use the platform.
Hassle
“Many people struggle with the hassle of obtaining quick estimates or having to call multiple contractors to find someone who meets their needs.
“At Fix My Build, we simplify this process by providing a platform where users can receive multiple quotes from verified and insured professionals without the endless back-and-forth.”
The company, which has nearly 1,000 suppliers listed on its platform, is to launch a mobile phone app and also has a social purpose, with plans to help young people gain work experience alongside its contractors and is also working to help more women enter the ‘tradespeople’ sector.
