Speedy conveyancing service launched ahead of SDLT hike

Conveyancing firm, Muve, has introduced a fast conveyancing upgrade to help push property transactions through before April.

Sold sign and muve conveyancing logoWith Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) thresholds due to increase from April 2025, Muve is launching its fast upgrade conveyancing service to expedite property transactions.

This service is designed to provide a faster and hassle-free transaction process supported by a dedicated team, including a senior lawyer and account manager, to keep the case moving and reduce delays.

It promises to save buyers thousands of pounds while also giving them access to an innovative 24/7 case tracking portal to view real-time case progressions.

Leasehold and freehold deadlines

The SDLT changes taking effect on April 1, 2025 include 0% thresholds dropping for main residence purchases from £250,000 to £125,000, or from £425,000 to £300,000 for first-time homebuyers.

First-time Buyers Relief will also drop from £625,000 to £500,000 and the surcharge on additional property purchases valued at £125,001 to £250,000 will increase from 5% to 7%. 

To take advantage of the Fast Upgrade and beat the SDLT deadline, clients should instruct Muve by February 21, 2025 (for Freehold properties) or January 31, 2025 (for Leasehold properties).
