TV star signed up as brand ambassador for rent guarantor firm

RentGuarantor, which has also just been listed on the London AIM stock exchange, says Rob Rinder MBE will help the company raise awareness of the role guarantors play during the renting process.

TV star Rob Rinder (pictured), famous for his Channel TV series in which legal cases are settled in a studio-cum-court including housing cases, has been revealed as the brand ambassador for proeprty industry firm RentGuarantor.

The company, which this week raised millions via a share issue in London’s AIM stock exchange, says Rinder will support the company’s key objectives of driving tenant and landlord awareness of its rent guarantor service, and educate the public about the role of guarantors.

As The Neg reported yesterday, RentGuarantor anticipates that demand for its service will expand driven largely by the proposed regulatory changes within the Renters’ Rights Bill.

The firm says signing up Rinder forms a significant part of its mission to further inform tenants about professional guarantors as a potential solution to help them secure a rental home, while also shining a spotlight on the benefits for landlords in a changing lettings landscape.

“It is absolutely crucial – with the rental landscape expected to undergo its biggest shake-up in nearly half a century – that tenants have access to the right information and the right solutions to help them secure a rental home that meets their needs,” says Rinder.

“A professional guarantor is a risk-managed option that unlocks tenancies for thousands of renters who might not have met the required criteria otherwise, while also protecting a landord’s investment.

“My background has given me first-hand insight into the complexities of the rental industry, and I look forward to working with RentGuarantor to help many more people.

Tenants and landlords
Paul Foy, Chief Executive Officer, RentGuarantor

Paul Foy, Chief Executive Officer, commented: “Rob’s public profile, paired with his extensive legal knowledge and social commentary, especially on issues relating to housing, will be a great support as we continue to drive information sharing and discussion about professional rent guarantor services and the benefits these can afford tenants and landlords.

“We believe that professional guarantors should be a fundamental part of the tenancy toolkit, especially in light of the proposed Renters’ Rights Bill, which we believe will be the most significant revision of the regulation surrounding renting properties in almost 50 years, and the unpredictability associated with regulatory reform on this scale.

“We look forward to working closely with Rob to ensure we are outlining the choices available to consumers, whilst communicating the surety that our service can offer landlords and tenants across the breadth of the rental value chain.”
