Agency boss backs calls for Universal Digital Identity Framework
Industry figure Vicky Keyworth of LetzMove.com fame is backing proposals for a Universal Digital Identity for property buyers, property agencies and property sellers.
Top Sheffield estate agent Vicky Keyworth of LetzMove.com fame is backing proposals for a Universal Digital Identity (UDI) for property buyers, property agencies and property sellers.
Although Similar ID Verification Schemes already exist in relation to the Right to Work (RTW) Scheme, Right to Rent (RTR) Scheme and DB Scheme (DBS) – the Government-backed Home Buying and Selling Group has been working on a Digital Identity Trust Framework which would allow each client and each agent to have their very own unique identity verified – prior it to being used across all parties, all stages and all links in thew transaction.
LPE1
The Neg revealed yesterday how the Home Buying and Selling Group’s Property Data Trust Framework has already taken a step closer to unlocking the potential of digital conveyancing after it was updated to allow answers to Leasehold Property Enquiries (LPE1) to be represented in a standard way.
And The Neg also reported last month how a survey from Credas Technologies revealed seven out of 10 property professionals support government plans to introduce a digital identity for buyers and sellers in the residential home moving market.
MANUALLY
Tim Barnett, Credas Technologies Chief Executive Officer, said at the time that there are already a high number of property professionals who continue to carry out ID checks manually, which not only heightens risk, but also adds considerably to their operational workload.

Now Vicky Keyworth, Chief Executive of LetzMove.com, has also backed the plans and says: “I have always Trusted the AML Platform of Credas Technologies to competently carry out Full Identity Verification Assessments on all of my Clients.
“I sincerely hope that similar ID verification companies will consistently continue to lead the way – especially in terms of efficiency-enhancing, Digital Identity Trust Framework.”
The Homebuying and Selling Group held its Upfront Information Roadshow Premiere in central London yesterday morning as part of National Conveyancing Week.
