It’s the final stretch for our self-proclaimed Great And The Good of the Property Industry as they delve into which estate agency skills are critical to make a success of your business and finish looking at what opportunities are out there.

The Neg has been reporting on November’s fireside style chat amongst a panel (main picture) which includes Peter Rollings, former CEO and current board member at Foxtons; Sarah Edmundson, Chief Executive of charity Agents Together; Matt Giggs and Gemma Noonan, Founder and Operations Director respectively at The Giggs Group; Russell Quirk, Co-Founder of ProperPR; Iain McKenzie, Chief Executive of The Guild of Property Professionals; Adam Day, UK Country Leader at eXp; and Mark Burgess, Chief Executive at Iceberg Digital and software CRM, Lifesycle.

The deep dive into critical skills runs over 31 minutes and 32 seconds while the final video on opportunities runs over nine minutes and 25 seconds.

eXp’s Adam Day doesn’t take any prisoners with a rather brutal take on what’s needed.

There are going to be weaker agents out there and that’s the opportunity.”

“Opportunities are attacking poorer agents and taking stock off them,” he says. “There are going to be weaker agents out there and that’s the opportunity.”

Foxton’s Peter Rollings says to succeed agents need to get back to basics and understand what is necessary to succeed while Russell Quirk is more about cultivating the right mindset.

“If you have an enthusiastic mindset, you will list more and sell more than your competitors,” he says.

Social media, getting back to basics, being sensibly optimistic, using your time to develop your team and teach them. Are just some of the tips laid out in these final videos.
