Two-up two-downs selling the fastest
2-bed terraced homes are the fastest-selling property type, signalling a shift in buyer preference, according to Zoopla.

Zoopla reports that two-up two-down terraced homes are the fastest-selling property category in England and Wales.
The average time to agree a sale for them is 27 days, which is 5 days faster than the national average of 32 days.
First-time buyers
And over the past 3 months, 6 out of 10 of sales agreed for 2-bed terraced homes came within a month of listing.
Zoopla believes their popularity is down to a number of factors, saying: “2-bed terraced homes appeal to various types of buyers.
They’re a good value-for-money option.”
“They’re a good value-for-money option for first-time buyers with limited funds, and for downsizing empty-nesters who aren’t ready to give up features like a garden.
“They’re also relatively rare. Only 7% of homes that came on the market in the last 3 months were 2-bed terraces. This drives up the competition.”
Zoopla adds that: “2-bedroom terraced homes have consistently been the fastest-selling type of home in more expensive regions (London and East of England) over the last 6 years.
“Now, they’re also the fastest-selling type of home in more affordable regions. This signals a shift in buyer requirements in the face of higher borrowing costs.”
The slowest selling homes are 4-bedroom ones, which take an average of 40 days to find a buyer.
