Spicerhaart has recruited its first external Partner from outside of the business as it aggressively rolls out the hybrid-style programme across its Haart and Butters John Bee estate agencies.

Ross McKenzie, 28, is Haart’s new Area Partner for Bristol leading a team of nine existing staff who have become partners in and around the city.

“Nine-to-five is gone, ” he says. “This is today’s world and being flexible to meet clients’ needs is absolutely central to success. I’m looking forward to working with our Partners to help them achieve this as I am confident it is the future of estate agency.

“I’ve worked in both types of agency,” explains McKenzie. “I’ve been based in a branch and I’ve also experienced remote working, so I know how they can work together effectively.

McKenzie is a regional rising star having previously worked for Purplebricks where he was promoted four times from LPE to be one of its regional sales directors before briefly working for Countrywide as an area manager looking after two agencies; Chappell & Matthews and Woods Estate Agents.

His appointment to this senior role follows Haart’s expansion of its Partner scheme which was introduced in response to lockdown.  Negotiators and managers are based at home, backed up by local offices and Haart’s national infrastructure.

“With haart it means that our Partner team have the security of employment, but with the autonomy of managing their own time to meet their clients’ needs,” says McKenzie.

Haart is looking for four new local Partners to join McKenzie.
