Tim Hughes - Belvoir! - imageTim Hughes, owner of Belvoir Newbury, has completed on the acquisition of Douglas & Simmons, Wantage, adding 115 fully managed properties and a new Belvoir territory to his business portfolio.

“The previous owners had been doing residential sales for 30 years and started offering a lettings service in 2008, but now they wish to focus purely on sales again, so I have bought the lettings business,” said Tim. “I will be employing the small team of staff in Wantage and there will be lots of opportunities for the two offices to support each other.”

The opening of a brand-new office on Whytescauseway, Kirkcaldy, is also the sixth Belvoir franchise for the owners, who joined in 2019 and now hold the record for owning the largest number of franchises in Scotland and the wider Belvoir network. A successful launch party was held to celebrate the official opening and introduce Belvoir to the local community.

Andy Clachers, Regional MD Property Management said: “We are delighted to be opening our Kirkcaldy branch office, and in partnership with Delmor estate agency and the Mortgage Advice Bureau, introducing Belvoir to the wider Fife market.

“Our focus now is on offering a local and personalised property management service to landlords, tenants, investors, buyers and sellers of properties. This encompasses sourcing, letting, estate agency and financial services from trusted national brands Belvoir and MAB, in partnership with Fife’s hugely successful Delmor estate agency.”
