NW estate agency expands lettings book to 2,000 properties
Larger portfolio is created following the acquisition by Tiger Estates of rival Broomheads Estate Agency for an undisclosed sum.

A NW of England estate agency has snapped up a rival for an undisclosed sum and, in the process, enlarged its lettings book to some 2,000 properties.
Four-branch Tiger Estates, which has offices in Blackpool, Preston, Lytham and South Shore, has added Broomhead Estate Agents to its group including its branch in Blackpool (pictured, below).
The deal gives Tiger Estates coverage in new areas including Fleetwood, Thornton-Cleveleys, Poulton-le-Fylde, Over Wyre, Kirkham and the wider Lancashire region which it says cements the firm’s reputation as one of the leading property management companies in the NW of England.
Both firms now share the same tenancy agreement, record keeping and management services under the Tiger Property Estates & Management Ltd umbrella, effective from 1st July 2025.
The Broomheads name and its branch will be ‘retired’ and all operations run from the Tiger Estates HW in Blackpool
“This lettings acquisition marks an exciting new chapter for Tiger Estates,” says Craig Webster, MD of Tiger Estates (main image)
“By combining the strengths of both businesses, we can offer landlords and tenants an enhanced level of service, backed by experience, technology, and a dedicated team.
“As an active member of Propertymark and a participant on the Reach Advisory Panel, I ensure that Tiger Estates stays closely connected to housing policy developments.
“This enables us to provide our clients with timely, informed guidance and maintain the highest industry standards.”
New phase
Simon Broomhead and Jane Derbyshire, Broomheads Estate Agents’ two directors, have issued a joint statement saying: “After 30 years being part of the family business, we are proud to see the business transition to Tiger Estates.
“Their professionalism and forward-thinking approach mean our clients will continue to receive the highest level of care and support throughout this exciting new phase.”
The pair will now be stepping away from the Broomheads business and Webster says he would like to thank them both for their cooperation throughout the transition.
Team transfer
Webster tells The Neg: “The full Broomheads team has transferred across to Tiger and will continue looking after the same portfolio, supported by our wider team across the group to help improve service levels, compliance, and responsiveness.
“We’ve also expanded the Property Management team further to ensure a smooth integration and sustained support for landlords and tenants.”
Broomheads Estate Agency was founded by and until 2010 owned by Jim Broomhead, who that year died aged 62.
