Rummage4 is back and ready to launch fully, says founder Robert May

Pioneering digital platform that tracks listings now has 50,000 properties registered and three of the UKs largest builders piloting its service.

It has been over a decade in the making but Robert May’s Rummage4 platform has begun operation and, he says, is now 99% ready to go live fully within the UK’s housing market.

May has endured a challenging few months during which former Jefferies analyst Anthony Codling has come and gone as CEO, and his firm’s finances have had to be re-organised. But the platform now lists 50,000 properties.

Rummage4 creates a unique URL for each of an agent’s properties which is then used to track when, how and where people view the property and how many people go on to book viewings.

This URL is created on the Rummage4 system and the web page that uses it is branded with the agent’s logo, the property’s pictures and basic details.

It is used within an agent’s CRM, social media, own website or email campaigns track portal and other types of leads.

Industry first

“This means that, for the first time ever in the UK, an agent can see the full picture of how a property for sale or rent performs digitally, where the leads come from and how many convert into viewings,” says May.

He also says that once an agent begins using his platform, it will enable agents to accurately measure how efficient their digital channels perform, particularly in terms of value for money.

“We’re a run a test with one of our clients and it made for happy reading at Rightmove, but probably less so at OTM,” he says.

Rummage4 is being piloted by three of the UK’s largest house builders as well as several agents, and despite still being in ‘Beta mode’ May says platform now seeing two million unique visitors pass through it every month.

He also says Rummage4 is already creating data including that Facebook is half as effective as Twitter for generating leads, but that both are better than Google.

May also claims that on Rightmove it takes 332 people to click on a property details page to create 10 viewings.

  1. Thank you Nigel! Charles Sinclair in Clapham, one of my very first customers on CFP APM– (the DOS forerunner of CFPwinMan) has been on the phone and heard all about rummage4 as a result of this article!!!!

Reassured that I’m the guy who has been powering his business since the early 1990’s he’s signed up, so thank you for taking the time to listen to what we have built and are trying to do.
