Spicerhaart Part Exchange & Assisted Move has a continuing contract with Morrish Builders, a family-owned developer that has been instrumental in the creation of the pioneering Poundbury development.

Poundbury is a sustainable development of approximately 1,700 homes on the outskirts of Dorchester in Dorset. It has been built on land owned by the Duchy of Cornwall to reflect HRH Prince of Wales’ vision to create a traditional, mixed-use, sustainable development with a strong sense of community.

Local developers

Morrish Builders – a third-generation family business based in nearby Poole – is one of just three local placemaking developers that have worked on the internationally acclaimed development.

Morrish began working on Poundbury back in 1997 and Jo Greaves – Corporate Communications and Morrish family member – says, “Poundbury is a unique project and it is amazing to have been involved in it for so long, watching it grow to the bustling community it is today,” said Jo.

“We are frequently releasing new homes at Poundbury and it is such a sought-after location that we are never short of interest. We appreciate moving can be stressful so we want to make it as easy and quick as possible for customers to move into their new home. So, we have decided to bring in Spicerhaart Part-Exchange, another way of us assisting our customers with the buying process.

They will now be able to put in an offer safe in the knowledge that they will be able to sell their current home quickly and stress-free through us.”

As well as Poundbury, Morrish Builders is working on a range of other developments in the South that they will gradually be looking to offer part-exchange on through the Spicerhaart service.

Luzborough Green is one such development, a bespoke collection of 18 two, three- and four-bedroom homes in Romsey, Hampshire which are now selling.

This development offers traditionally crafted homes with contemporary interiors suited to modern day living and is the forerunner for other similar developments in this same area on land owned by the Ashfield Estate.
