Humberts opens its Dorset high-tech hub for business
13 staff have so far been relocated to the new facility in Poundbury, which will also offer the company's new property management service Humberts Living.
Humberts has revealed details of its first tech-driven, off-the-high-street hub (pictured, above) in the Dorset town of Poundbury, which has now officially opened for business.
The 5,000 sq ft facility has finished being fitted out and is home to a team of support staff known as its Base Team as well as being several property consultants. It is also being used as the base for a wider team of mobile staff covering Dorset and beyond.
The hub is also to host the first try-out of the company’s new lifestyle service, Humberts Living.
It offers home owners a property management service including gardening as well as teams offering help with planning issues, removals and utility switching.
The facility also features areas where clients can have meetings with consultants and a ‘club class’ style lounge for the local community to use for events.
Humberts says Poundbury was chosen because of its unusual layout within which residential, retail and commercial are mixed in together and car usage is discouraged. The company says this will help it ‘renounce’ the ‘traditional impersonal estate agent office’ approach.
“The first Humberts Hub is leading the way for us as a company in showcasing our new high tech, high touch philosophy in a brand-new building fit for purpose,” says regional manager Natalie Hingley (left), who previously was branch manager at its Yeovil office.
“We aim to be a key location for our local community and encourage all those that are interested in what we’re doing to come down and say hello.”
Natalie’s team of 13 staff at the hub includes three property consultants and a lettings manager.
