Recently re-branded estate agency group Stirling Ackroyd has acquired South East London-based sales and lettings agency Beresford Residential in its quest to expand and increase market share.

Stirling Ackroyd has taken on the whole business including Beresford’s three sales and lettings branches in Brixton, Camberwell and West Norwood, which will be integrated into its existing branch network and will operate under the Stirling Ackroyd brand. It is the fourth acquisition for the group this year and its 17th since 2017.

Graham Harrison, acquisition director at Stirling Ackroyd Group, says: “We have made an average of four acquisitions per year since we started in 2017 and have at least four more acquisitions planned in 2022. Our track record of acquiring and successfully integrating sales and lettings businesses speaks for itself, and we are always looking for more agencies to add to the group.”

The company recently announced the consolidation of its lettings business as it works to standardise business processes and programmes and align all its property brands under the Stirling Ackroyd Group brand.

Branch revenue

It has ambitious plans for investment and growth and hopes to see an increase in estate and letting agency branch revenue above the current average of £1m per annum, as well as an increase in market share next year.

CEO Nick Dunning (pictured) adds: “Acquisitions are just one part of our plan as we also look to open ten offices in strategic locations in London, leveraging the Stirling Ackroyd brand in the right places to underpin our organic growth over the coming 12 months and beyond.”
