Action! Proptech platform launches ‘location films’ for property listings

HomeOnFilm is to provide agents with a video of the top sights in an area surrounding a property as well as a TV quality edited property video.

A property viewing platform has launched a ‘location film’ service about the surrounding area of each property that agents can use in their property listings.

Leeds-based HomeOnFilm has signed up over a dozen agents to use its unusual service which includes editing video clips shot on smartphones by estate agents for between £20 and £50.

These include Keenans, Gibson Lane, Park Row, Legrys, Goodwin Fish, Marshall Property, Absolute Estates, Revilo Homes & Carver Residential.

The monthly subscription is just £50 per office with discounts available for multiple offices. The company also trains agency staff to shoot professional video on their smart phone and provides an App where video clips can be uploaded to editors worldwide in seconds.

The turnaround for editing is guaranteed in 24 hours and often within a couple of hours

With the location service, potential buyers can watch a video recording showing features of the vicinity including drone footage (main pic), which can display an agent’s branding.

david varley“What’s unique about this is that on new HomeOnFilm the property details pages have up to three location films which are highlighted and give visitors a fantastic insight into the locations around the property for sale or to let,” says founder David Varley (pictured).

“Agents also use them as a listing tool and on the portals and on their own website and we’ve filmed close to a thousand locations Europe-wide.”

Varley adds: “Far more people are working from home so there is no better time to launch a property venue, where visitors can take a look at a video of the property and also view a location film which highlights what’s in and around the properties location.

keenans homesonfilm“We think this is the best possible way for estate agents to market a property, and the best way for buyers and renters to view properties online.”

He says the company is currently in Burnley, Pendle and the Ribble Valley filming the whole area of around 100 villages and towns for Lancashire-based agent Keenans (see right).

Its director Paul Keenan says: “The location films are fantastic and we are integrating them for all our customers to enjoy”. The agency says it embraces modern technology with a mix of traditional marketing.
