Winkworth has beefed up its new homes and land sector with a fresh team to be based initially in Romsey, Hampshire.

It will be headed up by Sebastian Clarke, who has been with the company since 2012. He will initially focus on developments in Hampshire but also help franchisees across the UK grow their own operations.

The company says it has chosen Hampshire because NHBC figures show the South and SE of England has the busiest new homes and land market.

For the last quarter the region saw 26,871 new homes registered, or 20% of England’s overall market.

“A number of Winkworth offices, both in London and across the country, have been dealing with new homes sales for many years now, but with so much happening in the housebuilding industry over the next few years, it felt like the right time to launch an official Land & New Homes division,” says Clarke (left).

“For us, the housebuilding industry is just as important as sales and lettings, and we look forward to building on our current connections in the industry, helping deliver more quality housing to our clients and working with our other local offices to help them build their expertise and relationships.”

Dominic Agace, Winkworth’s CEO, says: “This new division launches shortly after we announced our dedicated Head of Lettings role, and both of these developments demonstrate our dedication to ensuring we provide the best possible service for our franchisees.”
