Rightmove and Zoopla go head-to-head in Xmas marketing blitz
Both portals are launching TV ad campaigns on Christmas Day ahead of an expected bumper Boxing Day rush of interest.

Rightmove and Zoopla are going head-to-head with Christmas Day launches of their new advertising campaigns.
The biggest two portals are going with major TV ad and social media drives ahead of the expected Boxing Day rush of interest.
Festive blitz
Both are predicting a bigger than usual festive blitz from new buyers and sellers as the market bounces back from the Budget hiatus.
Rightmove’s campaign based on the ‘If they can find it, so can you’ message, will see ads during The Great British Bake Off Christmas Special, football fixtures on Sky Sports, and family films.

Matt Bushby, Chief Marketing Officer at Rightmove, says: “Agents have told us they expect it to be a particularly busy start to the year, and we want to help them hit the ground running by reaching the UK’s largest and most engaged home-moving audience.”
Most successful
Meanwhile, Zoopla launches a “multichannel, multi-million pound marketing campaign” that is expected to reach 4 in 5 UK adults.
It marks the return of ‘Just ask Zoopla’ – the portal’s most successful advertising campaign.
The ads featured include Nana’s Cottage and Kid’s Party (main picture), and playfully uses home valuation curiosity to drive homeowners to get a valuation through Zoopla and their estate agent partners.
The campaign will feature across Netflix, YouTube and prime-time festive TV slots like The Masked Singer Christmas special, C4 Christmas movies and Premier League football.
Zoopla is also promising the return of its ‘Find Agent’ directory to the main website top navigation bar.
Showcase

Joby Russell, VP of Marketing at Zoopla, says: “This campaign showcases the power of the Zoopla brand, reinforces our number one position for home valuation, and underlines our ongoing commitment to invest in helping our agent partners of all sizes to grow their business.”
