AGENT: New office ‘not supposed to look like a traditional branch’

Boss of Vita in NW London says latest office is designed to look like a café crossed with an interiors showroom.

An independent estate agency in London has opened a new office which, its founder says, has someone unusually been designed NOT to look like a traditional branch.

Vita, which was operated from a high street office in Swiss Cottage in North London, has opened a second branch in Hampstead which, to the casual observer, looks like an interiors showroom rather than a busy estate agency.

Boss Oliver Kent says he wanted his new working space to feel like a ‘home from home’ and not be just transactional. Consequently, there are no desks in the window or negotiators on headsets. The new office is also the hub for Vita’s new self-employed estate agent model, known as Broker Partners.

The company was established fifteen years ago and Kent says the decision to expand follows a recent surge in business activity within the firm’s North West London property patch.

“The South Hampstead office is a natural step for us. We’ve been working across these postcodes for years, so opening a second space here felt like the right move at the right time. We were clear from the outset that we didn’t want a typical estate agency shopfront,” he says.

Discretion

“Property transactions, particularly in this part of London, require thought, discretion and proper conversation.

“The [new] office reflects how we like to work – focused, personal and relationship-driven.

“The strength of our collaboration broker model has been a key driver behind this expansion. It’s performing exceptionally well and giving us the confidence to establish a second office to support growing demand while maintaining the same level of service and attention to detail.”
