Big property firm makes third acquisition this year

Andrew Greenwood joins the fold adding a property portfolio to SBK’s lettings department, alongside a thriving residential sales operation.

Property firm Sheldon Bosley Knight (SBK) has bought another business – its third in five months.

The Midlands-based land and property company has acquired Chipping Campden-based Andrew Greenwood Estate Agents for an undisclosed sum.

Andrew Greenwood joins the fold adding a property portfolio to SBK’s lettings department, alongside a thriving residential sales operation.

The agency was established in 1994 and is well-respected in Chipping Campden and the wider area particularly for its personal service.

Director and co-owner Mike Cleary, who also co-founded Wearethemarket, says: “Andrew Greenwood is a well-established, successful business and we are delighted to be chosen to take over the reins.

“We are determined to add to Andrew’s wonderful legacy and do his business proud.”

Sam Smith, Andrew Greenwood manager, adds: “Andrew set up the business in 1994, almost 30 years ago and I have been here 19 years.

BIRTHDAY

SBK, which celebrates its 180th birthday this year, has more than 120 in-house staff in offices across Coventry and Warwickshire, Gloucestershire, Leicestershire, Worcestershire and the Cotswolds.

The firm began in 1843 when William Bull of Shipston on Stour began operating as an auctioneer.

The addition of Andrew Greenwood Estate Agents is the third acquisition for SBK this year.

 The last 18 months have seen the acquisition by SBK of Bradgate, Fox Country Property, Hawkins Estates and Lettings, James Sellicks, Tim Cox Associates, Wigwam Estate Agency, Kavanagh Commercial, Robin Jones, Croft Property Management and now Andrew Greenwood.
