Ten employees at Essex-based property group, Beresfords, have taken part in a charity skydive to raise much-needed funds for mental health charity MIND.

The team is hoping to raise £5,000, which will be donated through the Beresfords Foundation.

The Foundation was set up in 2015 and which is managed by independent charitable trust, Essex Community Foundation (ECF), allowing the business to award grants annually from the Foundation to support local charities and voluntary groups in the county.

James Westbrook, one of the team members who took part in the skydive, said, “Many of us have experienced, or know someone who has, mental health struggles and without charities like MIND those people wouldn’t be able to get the help and support they need.”

MIND provides support and advice to those who find themselves experiencing mental health problems. From providing reliable information to campaigning for change, MIND is on a mission to ensure everyone experiencing mental health challenges do not face them alone.

Paul Beresford, Chairman and Managing director, added, “We are incredibly proud of the team for getting involved in such a courageous and brave activity, in aid of such a wonderful charity.

“As a family run business, we want to ensure that we work closely with our community. Establishing and growing the Beresfords Foundation has resulted in us supporting causes like this.”
