Solicitors get down and dirty
A Sunderland legal team have been playing dirty, to raise money for Cancer Research.
The group from Richard Reed Solicitors took part in thePretty Muddy challenge, braving the elements around a 5k muddy obstacle course at Herrington Park. Their mucky moves paid off, raising around £1520 for the charity.
Directors Barry Wood and Cassandra Spencely and her 13-year-old son Dex, solicitor Annaliese Barber, her husband and 13-year-old daughter Ava, and paralegals Abigail Pitt and Abbey Tyrell-Scott, along with partners, all took part in the event.
Cassandra Spenceley, Director and Solicitor-advocate within the firm’s specialist children law team said: “It was a great day and event. As a firm, we wanted to raise money for Cancer Research UK, identifying it as a fantastic cause, given that cancer impacts on so many, whether directly or having to support someone you love who is going through it.
“Sponsorship was received from lots of folks within the local legal circuit – who really got behind and supported the event.”
