Estate agent takes the plunge and commits to Channel crossing

There’s no middle road for this estate agent when it comes to raising cash for his favourite charities – he’s diving straight in with plans to swim the treacherous English Channel for the Make-A-Wish and the Fine & Country Foundation.

The English Channel is known for its treacherous waters and unpredictable conditions and presents an arduous test for even the most experienced swimmers.

DANGEROUS

With a passion for philanthropy and a desire to make a difference in the lives of others, Harry Middleton, partner at Fine & Country Chiswick, is going all in and will attempt the dangerous solo crossing this Sunday.

He will be followed by a boat and will be spurred on by his training partner and coach Bradley Harvey, along with his dad Stewart Middleton, who is yet to miss a swimming event in support of his son.

I knew I wanted to take on one of the hardest swimming challenges in the world.”

Harry Middleton says: “During lockdown I started swimming in the lakes prior to pools reopening and fell in love with the sport and knew I wanted to take on one of the hardest swimming challenges in the world.

“I have competed at a national level achieving several national medals; however, this will definitely be my most challenging fete in my swimming career.

“Everyone knows the English Channel and it is deemed as one of the busiest straits in the world. Once completed I will be one of a small number of people who have finished the swim. More people have climbed Mount Everest than swam the channel!”
