Fine & Country’s foundation kicks against Covid
As priorities around the world focused on personal survival for many in 2021, the Fine & Country Foundation managed to raise £140,000 for homeless charities.
There is no doubt that 2021 was another tumultuous year for much of the world’s economy, and many international charities had to adapt in order to continue to raise funds during a challenging 12 months. As an organisation that is committed to supporting charities who are working to help those afflicted by homelessness and poverty, The Fine & Country Foundation drew on the support of the Fine & Country network and the public to raise a phenomenal £140,000 for charities in need during 2021.
Of the figure raised, £92,000 came from agent contributions – meaning that for every completion, a Fine & Country agent generously donated a proportion of their fee to The Foundation. A further £20,000 was raised through events which were run and organised by The Foundation.
These events included The Foundation Field Day, which saw over 200 guests descend on Stanford Hall in Northampton (main picture) in September of last year to enjoy a day of garden games, charity ‘pieing’, networking, and to finish the evening off, entertainment in the form of a talented band. In addition, another £21,000 has been contributed by the Fine & Country Head Office through a percentage from referral fees and marketing pack sales.
Many of the agents within the network also took it upon themselves to raise additional money, with £7,000 donated to the Foundation through agents running their own fundraising events, such as golf days, Tough Mudders, and fitness challenges to name a few – selflessly organising and managing the affair from beginning to end and donating the proceeds to The Foundation.
All to charity
As a charitable organisation, The Fine & Country Foundation has no overheads, which means that funds raised by hard-working agents within the network, committed staff and benevolent customers are maximised and go to The Foundation’s cause and directly support other charities across to globe to help those living in need.
Simon Leadbetter, Global CEO for Fine & Country commented on how proud he is of the network’s tireless efforts: “I am overwhelmed by the total raised for The Fine & Country Foundation over the course of 2021. Through determination and generosity, our colleagues and clients have successfully contributed an astonishing £140,000.
“This money can, and does, act as a lifeline for many homeless charities around the world, we have seen first-hand the valuable support that the Foundation offers to people in need. I am thoroughly looking forward to seeing the impact we can make in 2022, through continued endorsements from our charitable supporters.”
