A tech fund operated by the US trade body for estate agents has picked several UK proptech firms among the 11 that will receive mentorship and in some cases funding within its global REACH 2022 programme, as well as exposure to the huge US market.

Second Century Ventures (SCV), which is the investment arm of the National Association of Realtors, is to back tech firms within several different sectors in the UK, Estonia, France and Austria including property.

The programme in the UK is also supported by Propertymark and Savills.

Valentina Shegoyan (pictured), managing partner of REACH UK, says: “We have listened to the real estate industry’s most pressing challenges over the last year and answered the call with a diverse range of solutions in this year’s cohort.

“These include some cutting-edge innovations which are helping improve environmental footprint, the sharing economy, property and facility management, and agent tools.”

UK proptech firms make a particularly strong showing within the list including property investment platform Property Deals Insight, refurb platform Houzen, property matchmaking platform SearchSmartly, property management service Residently and property inspections platform Safe2.

“It’s testament to all the hard work our team here at Property Deals Insight have been putting in to offer a game-changing experience for everyone involved in the UK residential property market.

“Looking forward to working closely with the extensive REACH global network and growing the business in 2022.”

Property Deals Insight is also to receive financial backing from SCV via its ongoing funding campaign to raise £600,000 to grow the business.

Previous recipients of help from the REACH programme include Sprift and Offr.

  1. Very well done REACH UK, and obviously a little biased as Nitin’s Property Deals Insight is one of our favourite clients at PROPTECH-PR Consultancy for Proptech founders, which means for the second year running a client get onto the accelerator, mighty Steve Rad and James Taylor of InventoryBase being our first client who rightly got into the first cohort last year.

Putting that aside the real gold of getting into an accelerator or even a incubator, is that the runway time is cut down, and SME’s get exposed to lots of opportunities, connections and inniatives that pushes their brands forward.
