Estate agents and property lawyers are not usually known for their rock-and-roll talents, but a duo from these two industries were busy entertaining crowds at last weekend’s Ideal Exhibition show in London to raise funds for refugees from Ukraine.
Peter Everett, who is a senior member of the Yopa team and the agency’s Commercial Director teamed up on stage with friend and conveyancing expert Joanne Robinson of Country & Capital Property Law (main picture).
The pair were given a stage at the Ideal Home Exhibition which finished on Sunday, during which 600 exhibitors and a swarm of celebrities were also there to tempt visitors including Phil Spencer, Nick Knowles, Martin Lewis and Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen.
Away from their day jobs, Everett and Robinson are among the many industry figures to have secret musical talents, which they employed to busk at the show on Saturday, collecting some £200 in cash.
“But we’d really love to boost that by raising some more money from fellow property industry professionals for Choose Love,” says Everett.
Choose Love is a charity that raises funds for refugees all over the world and particularly so for the millions of Ukrainians who have been forced to flee their country following Russia’s invasion. I thas raised nearly £6.7 million so far since the conflict began.
“Your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate £5 or £500. Every little bit helps. Thank you for your support,” says Robinson.
