Keller Williams UK (KWUK) has committed to the Armed Forces Covenant which helps members of the forces community have the same access to government and commercial services and products as any other citizen.

The Armed Forces Covenant is designed to ensure that members of the community do not face disadvantages arising from their service in the provision of public and commercial services.

NETWORK

The Neg reported last month how KWUK was developing an armed forces network and had appointed Paul Renton, an RAF veteran, as KWUK Director of Growth and Development and as Armed Forces Champion within KWUK.

Now it has gone one step further and committed to the covenant and will be supporting and promoting related events, such as armed forces week, reserves day, the Poppy appeal and remembrance activities.

Mark Readings, KWUK Chief Executive, says: “I am delighted to commit KWUK to the covenant and to ensure that we do everything we can to provide respect, support and fair treatment to those that have fulfilled their duty to everyone in defence of the realm.

“We will encourage and support veterans seeking a career to explore working with KWUK through specific mentoring schemes, guaranteed interviews and work insight days.”

SILVER AWARD

The Neg reported yesterday how Spicerhaart had received a Silver Award in the Ministry of Defence Employer Recognition Scheme, recognising its commitment to being a forces-friendly employer.

The agency, whose headquarters is in the garrison town of Colchester, achieved the accreditation by ensuring that they are an attractive place for armed forces personnel  to continue their careers after leaving the military or for army reservists to work while they await mobilisation.
