Major movers and super shakers

New heads at Savills and supplier shake-ups among the most recent property industry appointments.

This month’s property industry senior movers and shakers include major appointments at Savills, two hires at Helpthemove and new joiners within the supplier network.

Renowned sales director, Cory Askew now heads up the newly established South West London Parks region for Savills.

With over two decades’ experience, Cory joins Savills from Chestertons and will oversee the Wimbledon, Barnes, East Sheen, Richmond and Teddington sales teams.

In Norwich, Natalie Howlett-Clarke has been promoted to take over from Mark Little, who will continue in his role within the rural management division.

Natalie is joint head of the residential team at Savills Norwich having joined the business in 2005. She specialises in the sale of prime city residences and period country properties.

Follow a strong 2023, in which Helpthemove saw its headcount increase by 45%, two senior hires have been recruited to keep pace with increased client demand and move volume.

mark odriscollMarc O’Driscoll joins the company as Head of Sales. With over 26 years’ experience in leading and scaling revenue teams, Marc brings a wealth of knowledge from many sectors including tech, AI and social housing, where he successfully drove hypergrowth and expansion.

daniel frenchAlso joining the company is Daniel French as Head of Customer Growth and Account Development. In his 15-year career to date, Daniel worked in sales, lettings, and property management, taking him up to Director-level.

UPSTIX is a data driven proptech company which has so far been responsible for the purchase and sale of over 4,000 properties, totalling over £1 billion.

Supplier shake-ups

Jack edwardsDigital leader, Jack Edwards, has joined instant buying firm, UPSTIX, in a newly formed role as Head of Growth.

Having previously worked at Southampton Football Club, Warner Music Group and VinylBox, Jack will be in charge of developing and executing growth strategies aimed at boosting acquisitions, enhancing the firm’s visibility and refining customer journeys for homeowners and landlords.

National conveyancing panel management firm, Movin Legal, has welcomed financial services expert Bob Scott joining as Sales Director.

Bob has been working in financial services since 1995 and is well known in the mortgage intermediary market, having held senior positions with networks HL Partnership, The Right Mortgage Network, The Right DA Club, PRIMIS and First Complete.

National property consultancy, Carter Jonas, has appointed David Beattie as Partner and Head of York Residential Sales.

David has an established record in the residential sector with over 20 years’ experience in the Yorkshire market. He joins from Linley and Simpson, where he led the firm’s York office. Before this, he was at Quantum Estate Agency, which he co-founded in 2000 and was appointed Managing Director in 2015.
