It’s been a busy summer at Chestertons, having completed its second acquisition in six weeks, appointing a new Director and hosting a festival-style awards event.

Boutique Chelsea agency, Soames, is the third acquisition of the year.

Soames has been active in Prime Central London since 1995 and has enjoyed a loyal client base with a focus on Old Chelsea. The acquisition, which completed in July for an undisclosed sum, has seen Soames’ lettings business absorbed into Chestertons, which has operated in Chelsea for decades and has a branch on Cale Street and nearby branches in Fulham, Parsons Green, South Kensington and Knightsbridge.

The deal follows Chestertons’ acquisition of St Johns Wood agency Behr & Butchoff in May and a number of other purchases including Henry & James, Morgan Randall, London Residential and Snell & Snell.

In the agency’s New Homes Division, Henry O’Neill has been appointed Director for the North and East London area team.

Henry’s career has always focused on the New Homes market, starting as sales negotiator for the New Homes and Investments division at Foxtons before a stint at Mount Anvil and Ballymore. He then moved to Dexters, where he worked for almost five years, ending up as New Homes Director for the City, East and South East London.
