Two heads better than one at Savills
Savills has appointed two new heads of department.
Sophie Candlin has been promoted from negotiator to Head of Lettings in its South West London Teddington office while Phillippa Dalby-Welsh has been appointed Head of its Country House department.
Having worked for Savills since 2016, Sophie steps into her new position with circa eight years’ experience in the industry. In April this year, she played a fundamental role in establishing Savills newest residential sales and lettings office in Teddington, the tenth in South West London.
Sophie will work alongside Daniel Killick, who heads up the sales division in the office.
She said: “Having been involved in the opening of the Teddington office back in April, I am delighted to be taking on the role of head of lettings and continue to drive the business forward.
“Rory [Wallace] has been a fantastic mentor and has been a huge support to me over the course of my career at Savills. I’m excited to embark on a new challenge and for this next chapter in my career.”
Phillippa joined Savills in 2005, working first in the firm’s Fulham office and subsequently becoming joint Head of the prime central London residential business in 2017. More recently she has been a Director in the Country House team, covering the markets of South Surrey and Sussex, and joint head of the Savills residential business across the South East.
She takes over from Lindsay Cuthill who, after 32 years at Savills, will be leaving to pursue his own interests.
“Phillippa is widely known and respected for her commitment both to extremely high levels of client service and to the Savills business as a whole,” said Andrew Perratt, Savills Head of Country Residential. “I look forward to the country house team going from strength to strength under her direction.”
