Welsh estate agency Dawsons has expanded its lettings business by acquiring the portfolio of a rival business.

Dawsons, which is headquartered in Swansea, says it is strengthening its position as South West Wales’ largest independent agency with the purchase of the lettings book of Willows in Llanelli.

And there could be further expansion this year Dawsons suggests in a press release announcing the acquisition.

Major step

“This significant milestone has been some months in the making and represents another major step forward in our continued growth journey,” Dawsons says.

“The acquisition adds a substantial number of new properties to our Llanelli lettings portfolio, further cementing Dawsons’ position as the largest agent in Llanelli and the surrounding areas.”

Dawsons says this latest acquisition “builds on several successful portfolio integrations we have completed over the years, that have included a number of well-established and respected local brands, further demonstrating our ability to seamlessly grow while upholding the personal service our clients value most”.

Transition

Last year, the agency incorporated its operation into a local property management firm, CLC Estate Management.

CLC’s services include the management of residential blocks, housing estates, retail, industrial estates and business centres, as well as service charge collection, building maintenance, contractor management, facilities management and 24-hour emergency cover.

And it was also announced that Senior Partner Chris Hope had transitioned to the role of Property Consultant, while Ricky Purdy moved up from Director of Residential Lettings to Partner.
