Lomond exec and former boss of Chestertons and Foxtons to take seat on LonRes board as non-executive director.

Lonres non exec

Leading London property executive John Ennis of acquisition-focused agency Lomond has joined the board of property data group LonRes as a non-executive director.

Ennis only joined Lomond in March this year as Chief Revenue Officer, having previously served as CEO of Chestertons for 12 months, where he spearheaded the sale of the firm in 2023.

Prior to that, he had a 23-year career at Foxtons, where he helped grow the business from 10 offices to more than 60 and played a pivotal role in the company’s flotation on the London stock exchange.

As Managing Director, Ennis launched the China and Asia Pacific Desk, Foxtons Private Office and its Online Auction Department.

LonRes was established in 2000 as a subscription business-to-business data platform to meet the needs of property professionals and is widely regarded as the definitive database on the prime London sales and lettings market.

‘Essential tool for agents’

The service has some 5,500 subscribers and tracks the prime London sales market in real-time, taking in sold prices and price movements and time on the market.

Ennis says he is looking forward to working with the LonRes board to help grow and develop the product.

“I have been a big fan of LonRes for many years and logging on to the platform is one of the first things I do every morning,” he said. “It is an essential tool and enables agents to share and do business in a professional and collaborative way. Its quality and data are by far the most detailed and comprehensive of all the platforms out there.”

Commenting on the appointment, LonRes Managing Director Anthony Payne said, “We are delighted that John has agreed to join the LonRes board.

“He brings with him a wealth of experience. He understands not just the property market but the business of agency, too. His undisputed knowledge of the sector, his energy and vision will add to the strength of the LonRes board and ultimately benefit LonRes subscribers too.”

Ennis is also a board member of CLEA (Central London Estate Agents).
