Estate agents take charge at football club and name stadium after firm
Jody and Carly Johnson, who recently launched a property firm in North Wales, have become the major shareholders at Colwyn Bay FC.
The owners of a recently-launched estate agency in North Wales have become major shareholders in a football club.
Jody and Carly Johnson (main picture), founders of Blue Turtle Property and insulation and boiler company of the Blue Turtle Group, are now in charge at Colwyn Bay FC.
They bought the shares owned by the backers of a construction company, the North Wales Pioneer reports.
One-stop
The couple, who worked together for Purplebricks, were in the news recently after launching a ‘one-stop’ estate agency in Rhos-on-Sea, North Wales.
Blue Turtle Property is to offer a wide range of different services including property management, lettings and sales, but also some of the parent company’s ‘clean tech’ boilers and other heating products
Rich history
They became involved with the JD Cymru Premier league-bound club in recent months. Both are already directors of the club, and its ground is now known as The Blue Turtle Arena.
