Former Purplericks boss bids farewell to property with new job
A statement from Onecom Group says Marston steps into the role following career across both private equity-backed and public listed companies.
The final boss of Purplebricks before it was sold for £1 has joined technology firm Onecom Group as its Chief Operating Officer (COO) to the Executive Leadership Team.
A statement from Onecom Group says Marston steps into the role with a ‘distinguished track record’ in executive management positions across both private equity-backed and public listed companies.
WIDE-RANGING EXPERIENCE
It adds: “Her extensive experience spans notable organisations such as Vodafone Group, Jaguar Land Rover, Kuwait Energy, Virgin Media-Liberty Global, and recently as COO and then CEO of Purplebricks PLC. Helena’s wide-ranging experience is a perfect fit to contribute significantly to Onecom’s ongoing growth and market leadership.”
Flick says: “Helena’s vast experience, expertise, and energy will perfectly broaden the strength of our vastly experienced leadership team and help propel us into the next growth phase. Helena’s appointment is a testament to our commitment to leadership excellence.”
ASPIRATIONS AND AMBITION
Marston adds: “I share Martin’s high aspirations and future ambitions and look forward to working closely with him, the Executive Leadership Team and all teams across Onecom to achieve this.
“Together, we will continue to drive growth organically and through incremental M&A, delivering enhanced benefits to our customers, new opportunities for our strategic partners and development opportunities for our expanding team while ensuring the highest levels of quality throughout.”
The Neg revealed in May last year that Marston was resigning from Purplebricks after the agency was sold to Strike for £1 – less than a price of a KitKat.
What a joke! Helena Marston was one of the main architects that destroyed Purplebricks, losing £250,000,000 of investors money and turning the UK largest Estate agents from great potential to being worth a £1 and in the process ruining many people’s careers. Her management team knew nothing about Estate agency and wouldn’t listen to the hundreds of very experienced people who worked there and now waltzes into another top executive job….. How? Martin Flick didn’t you read her CV?
