Kate Faulkner honoured with Lifetime Achievement Award
Leading figure given award for her work across the property industry including with the Home Buying and Selling Group.

Leading industry figure Kate Faulkner OBE (main image) was awarded the Lifetime Achievement honour at The Negotiator Awards on Friday night in London.
Held at The Grosvenor Hotel on Park Lane, her award came at the end of a gala evening of celebration drama with some 35 prestigious awards handed out for estate and letting agencies, rising stars within the industry and suppliers. Find out more about the winners here.
Faulkner, who is known for her work both as a consultant to many organisation within the sector, has also been at the forefront of efforts to make the property sales process faster through her work as Chair of the Home Buying and Selling Group (HBSB) industry liaison group and its BASPI initiative.
She is also a regulator contributor to The Neg’s website and a frequent pundit on TV and radio.
Moving work
The HBSB is a roundtable of leading agencies and suppliers which has been working for many years to help Government realise the limitations of the current conveyancing and sales progression systems and the need for change, and its work is now informing the current Government’s drive to speed up transactions and cut the number of all throughs every year.
An emotional Faulkner gave a moving speech after being given her Lifetime Achievement Award, during which she thanked everyone within the industry for their help and collaboration, pledging to redouble her efforts to improving the home-moving process and experience.

Last year’s recipient, Michael Day, said yesterday: “Delighted that my friend and top property industry legend was recognised tonight at The Negotiator Awards with the Lifetime Achievement Award. “A very well-deserved addition to the club!”
A spokesperson for Conveyancing firm RG Law, which itself won a Highly Commended award at the event, added: “Congratulations to Kate Faulkner OBE for winning Lifetime Achievement and well done to all the winners.”
