One of the South East of England’s faster-growing estate agencies has bought a rival’s lettings business for an undisclosed sum.

Charters Group says the acquisition of Manns & Manns operation is part of its ongoing efforts to expand via acquisition quickly and become one of the biggest agents in Hampshire and Surrey, within which it already has eight branches.

These include its most southerly in Southampton to its most northerly in Aldershot.

The business that’s been acquired, including where most of the properties are based is in the town of Burlesdon, is up-river from the prime housing area in and around the yachting hub of Hamble.

Grow

Robert Mott, Chairman of Charters Group, says, “It is a pleasure to acquire the lettings portfolio at Manns & Manns, as we continue to grow our business.

“We are delighted to enhance the already exceptional service the Manns & Manns Lettings team offer. I have known Helen for many years and this collaboration is built on mutual trust and respect.”

With systems and processes already in place, in-house legislation expertise and the landlords needs at the forefront of everything they do, this will continue to maintain and enhance the service for everyone involved.”

The acquisition brings the number of managed properties within the Charters lettings book to 2,700.
