Sutton based lettings firm Centro PLC has bought Christies Estate Agents Limited in Cheam to create a business with a turnover of £1,000,000 from residential sales, lettings and financial services within the multi-disciplined Centro Group. It also brings together two well established, family run businesses.

Christies’ Director, Andrew Richardson stays as Residential Sales Director and all Christies’ staff members join Centro. Christies’ brand will remain.

Ray Harwood FRICS, Chairman of Centro, said, “When we founded Centro nearly 30 years ago, our vision was to get exactly where we are today. We are satisfied the transition will move us on to our realistic short-term turnover of circa £5,000,000, with a strong asset base of three times that figure.”

Andrew Richardson, Christies Estate Director and now Residential Sales Director within the Centro Group, added, “I have thoroughly enjoyed five decades of success in this challenging yet ultimately rewarding field and am extremely excited at the prospect of working alongside the Centro team.”
