The sale of the Spencer family's Mayfair home was managed by joint sole agents Wetherell and Chestertons and went under offer in less than a week.
Countess Raine Spencer’s former £10.95m Mayfair house has been sold by joint sole estate agencies Wetherell and Chestertons in under a week to an undisclosed buyer in what is claimed to be Mayfair’s fastest house sale this year.
The property (main image), a 4,894 sq.ft. Georgian-style five-bedroom house on Farm Street was built in the 1980s and is where Raine entertained her stepdaughter Diana, Princess of Wales, especially in the period after her divorce from Charles.
Diana’s father had bought the house as a gift for Raine in 1990 to thank her for her support during his recovery from a stroke.
Peter Wetherell, Founder & Executive Chairman of Wetherell says: “Given its illustrious heritage the house had a wave of enquiries from around the world when it was listed for sale and within days offers were received from several serious bidders.
“The house was effectively sold in less than 100 hours of coming to the market, an ultra-fast deal which is believed to be the fastest house sale in Mayfair during 2024.”
